This was my second trip to this hotel. As usual, the breakfast was great and it is so relaxing eating breakfast on the terrace. The staff were friendly and recognised me from my previous trip back in August 2023. The kitchen is good and. The hotel allows you store food in the fridges as long as put your room number and name on the food containers The location is excellent. Picoas metro station is just down the road. The parque metro station is also nearby . An Aldi supermarket is just around the corner. There is also an excellent Thai bistro very close to the hotel. The pingo doce supermarket is less than a hundred metres away and the hotel allows you to bring food into it to eat on the terrace or on the bar area. Up the road is am Indian restaurant which sells kebabs and curries until 2am which is great specially if your flight is badly delayed and you need something to eat. I have been lucky to have shared my room with some interesting people who have been very nice to me.. I have uploaded photos of the Archivo Militar just in case any researcher from overseas needs to go there. There is also a nice church near the military archives .

The breakfast consisted of fruit, bread marmalade and various cereals. The coffee was great, All the staff were helpful and friendly. The bar offered two draft beers and draft Sangria and a decent selection of bottled beers and numerous wines. A pint of draft beer was 3 Euros and the 300ml glass of Sangria was 2 Euros. Happy Hour was from 6 to 8pm. The small kitchen on the ground floor was very well equipped with 3 fridges, 2 microwaves, a decent oven and a largish dining area adjacent to the kitchen. The location was good with access to the metro station of Psoas just ten minutes walk away. Ping |Voce -a supermarket was across the road and this offered reasonable meal deals at 2.5 Euros (Juice, expresso, ham and cheese croissant and nata)

I was a bit scared traveling alone as a woman but thankfully I had nothing to worry about. Staff was really nice and helpful, everything was clean and amazing service. Quiet enough for a hostel and the facility was accessible all through out. WOT was a great experience for me. Located only 7 min away from the train station and around many great restaurants. The hostel is aesthetically pleasing for its price + everything worked perfectly. Staff helped me when my phone was dying and even chatted with me quite a bit during the late nights. I wasn't there for the breakfast but when i came down a couple of people were still eating and their food looked quite appetizing. Thank you WOT for this amazing experience, will definitely book again!

The breakfast was very good as usual. The terrace is very good and there is a good canopy that shelters people from the sun and the occasional light rain. The five euro pizza and beer meal deal is very good value. The kitchen allows people to cook and to take their meals onto the terrace. The surrounding area is close to the picoas metro and also the parque metro stations. In terms of shopping for supplies, pingo doce is near the hotel and there is an Aldi near the hotel.. I was given a free drink check out after i told the barmen. I was ordering my last beer in Lisbon. S nice friendly end to a really great trip.

Always good to have a dorm bed which has a wooden screen, light, curtain and plug - means you can put on your eye mask, earplugs in, and don't get disturbed by other sleepers, which is one of the biggest downsides of a shared dorm. Also useful to have the bathroom inside the room, as it doubles as a changing room. Good shower pressure. Price was better than other places like Selina, but obviously therefore comes with worse location, and not a great pool - I'd say its more of a very large tub than a pool, but it's not pretending to be anything else, and I didn't go in it.
